Bekki

Bekki grew up at Round Robin Farm in South Royalton, VT, and is the third generation of the Read family to be dedicated to eventing and the Connemara breed. Bekki started riding about the same time that she took her first steps, and was competing by the age of seven. She has since trained and evented many horses, including Hideaway’s Playboy  - Connemara of the Year and inductee into the ACPS Hall of Fame in 2001. She competed Monadnock’s Deroghda (“Sparkle”) - a purebred Connemara mare - successfully through the intermediate/one star level, and trained Lady Zena from a four year old through the intermediate level as well. Among her many other trainees was Caraway's Archer (who competed through preliminary level) and Crackerjack - who went on to success at the four- star level under Olympian Boyd Martin.

Also an accomplished snowboarder, Bekki trained and competed professionally for 10+ years in this sport, traveling throughout the United States and Canada and participating in half pipe and slopestyle competitions at the U.S. Grand Prix and U.S. Open level.

Bekki now teaches riding to all ages and coaches young eventers ranging from Intro to Preliminary skill levels. Her goal is to empower riders through patience, encouragement, and confidence-building. Click below to contact Bekki about training, teaching, or clinics.
